BLOOMINGTON - The Carthage College men's swimming and diving team competed against Illinois Wesleyan and Illinois Institute of Technology Saturday afternoon.

The Firebirds relay team of Conner Hwang, Tyson Politsch, Christian Snyder, and Logan Dales clocked in a time of 1:37.77 in the 200 yard medley relay.

Dales took first place in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:01.67.

In the 200 yard butterfly, Snyder clocked in a time of 1:56.95 for a first place finish. 

Taydin Murphy took the gold in the three meter dive with a score of 284.30.

Dales swam a time of 47.95 for a first place finish in the 100 yard freestyle.

Paul Busse took first place in the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:06.64.

Wyatt Fredeen swam a time of 4:59.70 in the 500 yard freestyle for a first place finish. 

Snyder took first place in a time of 50.45 in the 100 yard butterfly.

Murphy took first place in one meter dive with a score of 267.80.

Busse clocked in a time of 1:57.64 for a first place finish in the 200 yard IM.

The Firebirds relay team of Snyder, Aidan Nord, Will Murray, and Dales clocked in a time of 1:26.87 in the 200 yard freestyle relay.



The Firebirds return back home on Saturday January 31, as they are set to host day one of the Wisconsin Private Championships. Action is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. For more information, visit athletics.carthage.edu.
