OSHKOSH - The Carthage College women's swimming and diving team traveled to Oshkosh, taking on the Titans after weeks off for the holiday break.

The Firebirds team of Maria Gutzweiler, Grace Norman, Lois Klinger, and Emily Belcik clocked in 1:54.49 in the 200 yard medley relay for a first place finish. 

Sydney Logan took the gold in the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 11:18.52.

In the 100 yard backstroke, Kylie Kramp finished in 1:02.16 for a first place finish. 

With a time of 1:14.57, Norman took first place in the 100 yard breaststroke. 

Gutzweiler took first place in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 25.83.

In the 200 yard backstroke, Kramp took first place with a time of 2:15.91.

Rylie Vatch swam a time of 2:44.23 in the 200 yard breaststroke for a first place finish.

Logan took first place in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:36.08.



The Firebirds return to action on Saturday January 18, as they are set to take on the Illinois Wesleyan Titans in Bloomington, Ill. Action is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. For more information, visit athletics.carthage.edu.
