Men’s Swimming and Diving Sweep the Titans

OSHKOSH - The Carthage College men's swimming and diving team competed in Oshkosh Saturday afternoon, after weeks off for the holiday break.

The Firebirds team of Conner Hwang, Paul Busse, Christian Snyder, and Aidan Nord took the gold in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:39.43.

In the 1000 yard freestyle, Wyatt Fredeen took first place in a time of 10:33.34.

Ben Keller took first place in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:48.61.

Logan Dales swam 53.98 in the 100 yard backstroke for a first place finish.

Paul Busse clocked in a 1:00.28 for a first place finish in the 100 yard breaststroke.

Snyder took first place in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 1:59.55.

In the 50 yard freestyle, Logan Dales swam 22.28 for a first place finish.

Snyder took first place in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 48.35.

Aaron Shibilski clocked in 2:03.02 in the 200 yard backstroke for a first place finish.

Busse collected another first place finish in the 200 yard breaststroke in a time of 2:12.09.

Keller took first place in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 4:58.74.

Busse placed first place in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 53.27.

Keller swam 2:02.18 in the 200 yard IM for a first place finish.

The Firebirds team of Nord, Matija Simic, Hwang, and Dales clocked in a time of 1:29.46 for a first place finish in the 200 yard freestyle relay.

The Firebirds return to action on Saturday January 18, as they are set to take on the Illinois Wesleyan Titans in Bloomington, Ill. Action is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. For more information, visit athletics.carthage.edu.
