KENOSHA - Carthage women's soccer team hosted the DePauw Tigers in the first match of the Battle of the Border. The game was off to a scoreless start until the nineteenth minute, when the Carthage offense came up big to take the lead in the first half. DePauw showed no mercy, scoring a goal of their own to tie the game late in the second half. The Firebirds did not shut down and scored in the last two minutes to reclaim the lead and take the win from the tigers. Women's Soccer is off to a 3-0 start for the first time since 2013.

- The Firebirds took the lead in the 20th minute of the first half with a goal by Peyton Olinski, assisted by Maggie Thom.
- DePauw scored in the 86th minute to tie the game at 1-1.
- The Carthage offense answered back within 2 minutes to take the lead in the 88th minute. The game-winning goal was scored by Lydia Sachs, assisted by Kate Sumner held off the Tigers for the win.
- Ainsley Stallworth, in her third start and third win, recorded 10 saves, including a game-winning save in the last 30 seconds to hold off the Tigers.
- Peyton Olinski led the Firebirds in shots with three.
- Lydia Sachs recorded her first collegiate game winning goal.
