Coachs Remarks

"Tough one today. We had no offensive chemistry or flow, and that's trying to get back to playing guys before we had time to work together. I didn't hold up my end and play the guys that have been preparing. You can't go out against good competition and be successful when you haven't built and drilled it in practice. I saw this coming and probably needed to make some better decisions. I will have to do some work and see where we can get better, but just not a very good effort on that side of the ball. The poor shooting and TOs on offense also cost us goals going the other way. I think their defensive unit and face-off group had six of the 11 goals today. Defensively, we hurt ourselves in the first half, not managing clears. Made some youth mistakes, too, that opened up some opportunities, but I thought the guys played well in sixes. We held a really good attack unit to four goals, which was above expectations. My close defense and goalies are bought in and playing well on the ball. Our goalie play was very good today as well. Very disappointing loss and a very disappointing effort, but it was an opportunity to learn for both me and the guys."

Up Next
