Coachs Remarks

"Great start to the season. I am proud of the guys. We had five freshmen in our midfield defensive unit (Briton Stanton, Joey Heisler, Keyan Schugel, Logan Leyde, and Rocco Paddack) today, and they all played outstanding. We also had several guys get their first collegiate goal, and I am happy for them to be able to have the moment. Defensively, we applied good pressure on the ball, and outside of a transition goal, we really limited their opportunities. Offensively, I thought we had some really great looks, but we need to get a little better at our shooting and finishing and play more in space throughout the game. Alec Gern and Ian Edwards were in beast mode around the pipes, and that can really help our offense once we get everyone healthy and back to full strength."
