ROCK ISLAND — On Wednesday night, Carthage picked up a straight-set sweep over Augustana (Ill.) to start the last week of the regular season.

Carthage came out strong, quickly establishing a 17-4 lead.
Key kills from Liv Carel and Kaitie Rohe clinched the opening set for the Firebirds, 25-9.
In the second set, Carthage maintained momentum, building a 15-10 lead with another kill from Rohe.
The Firebirds finished the set on an 11-3 run, securing a two-set lead with a 25-13 victory.
Kristina Manojlovic and Devinn Bell recorded consecutive kills to extend the lead to 15-10.
Manojlovic added two more kills, pushing the score to 21-12 before a combined block with Ella Pettinger sealed the match at 25-12.

The Firebirds delivered a strong offensive performance, hitting .326 with 40 kills, 10 errors, and 92 total attacks.
Kaitie Rohe led with 16 kills, while Kristina Manojlovic also reached double digits, finishing with 10.
Kyla McTeague led in service with a match-high four aces, marking a season-best and contributing to the team's eight total aces.
Devinn Bell facilitated the offense with 29 assists, while Jenna Damon led the defense with 17 digs, followed by Bell with 11 and Liv Carel with nine.

"Big road win to close out the regular CCIW season!! Kaitie Rohe continued her torrid hitting with 16 kills and a .469 hitting percentage. Kristina Manojlovic had a good offensive night as well with 10 kills. Our serve receive was really good tonight. Devinn Bell ran a great offense and ended up with 29 assists. It was a big night on defense as well led by Jenna Damon with 17 digs! Excited to finish up the regular season against a good Aurora team on Saturday afternoon."
