OSHKOSH — The Carthage College women's wrestling team met up with the Wis-Oshkosh Titans on Thursday evening for the team's second dual of the season. Despite winning four individual bouts, the Firebirds came up short in points and fell to the Titans 30-16.



Kirsten Cortez opened up the dual at the 103 division with a tech fall win over Myra Bair (TF 10-0, 4:25). Rebecca Di Sivestro fell to Audrey Swiderek in the 110 division by way of a tech fall (TF 10-0, 2:47). Natalie Majer defeated Kaije Youngstrom with a tech fall in the 117 division (TF 10-0, 1:35). In the 124 division, Oshkosh won by forfeit. At 131, Margaret Anders came up short against Annesley Day (Fall 1:00). Oshkosh also took the 138 bout by forfeit. At the 145 division, Adele Senzig earned a victory over Nellie Stagg by an 8-2 decision. Sierra Pienkowski earned a win by way of a fall over Leah Schwenker (Fall 2:47). Ella Creighton defeated Makenna Bovee (Fall 4:11) and the Titans took the 207 division with a forfeit to secure the home win.


The Firebirds (0-2) will return to action on Saturday, Dec. 7 as Carthage hosts the Carthage Classic in Tarble Arena beginning at 9 a.m. For more information, visit athletics.carthage.edu.
