LEXINGTON — Carthage College women's volleyball student-athlete Jenna Damon has earned a spot on the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Region 8 team, as announced Wednesday.

Damon, a junior from Durand, Illinois, played a key role for the Firebirds this season, recording 498 digs across 109 sets. She was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week on September 24 and achieved a season-high 36 digs in a match against Carroll (Wis.) on September 18.

A two-time All-CCIW First Team honoree, Damon ranked fourth in the conference in digs per set, averaging 4.57. She also made her mark at the service line, finishing seventh in the CCIW with 49 service aces during the season.
