WHEATON - The Carthage College women's soccer team traveled to Wheaton, Illinois to take on Wheaton College for a conference matchup Wednesday afternoon. Wheaton took the lead 1-0 early in the first half, in the 11th minute. Both sides brought strong defense, making the rest of the first half scoreless. The Firebirds scored first in the second half in the 74th minute to tie the game 1-1. The Thunder broke the tie in the 89th minute to take the lead and the win, 2-1.
