"Concordia (Wis.) is always a tough regional opponent. We were up 2-1, then they served us tough, and our passing broke down a bit. They had all the momentum, but we hung tough, took the lead in the fifth at 8-7, and never looked back!
Liv Carel was terrific tonight. We asked her to do a lot.
Leena Ajibola was tough in the middle and had some timely blocks. I thought our setters,
Tatum Kebisek and
Devinn Bell, did a nice job tonight. We got some solid passing and defense from our defensive specialists. It was a good team win!"
- Carthage will play in the Wisconsin-Oshkosh "Marty Petersen Invitational". The Firebirds start with tournament-host on Friday, September 8, at 5 p.m.
