Coachs Remarks
"We learned a lot about what it takes to compete at a high level this weekend," commented head coach Leanne Ulmer. "CMS is a very talented team, and La Verne is as well. We started to figure things out during the Laverne match and carried that over into the Chapman match. It feels good to get one in the win column. Our schedule is tough, so we need to continue to be mentally strong and improve each day. Liv Carel had a very strong match to close out the tournament. We had some strong play from three first-years, Ava McTeague, Kristina Manojlovic, and Kinsey Bakhaus. Katie Boston stepped up with some big blocks. I'm excited to get home and regroup for a tough week ahead."

Team Results
  • The Firebirds return to Wisconsin for a single match against Concordia (Wis.) on Wednesday, September 6 at 7 p.m.
