KENOSHA, Wis.  — Carthage College Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine Jacob Dinauer is pleased to announce the addition of two talented individuals to the Athletic Training and Sports Performance team, Dexter Molinaro and Claire Stanners. Their combined experience and expertise in athletic training, rehabilitation, and sports performance has already impacted Carthage Athletics this preseason.

Dexter Molinaro returns to Carthage as Associate Director of Rehabilitation and Performance. Dexter's unique qualifications and experience will allow him to coordinate Carthage athletes' rehabilitation, physical therapy, and sports performance needs. Dexter previously worked at Carthage as the director of strength and conditioning (2019) and was an athletic training staff member (2017-19). Dexter is a Carthage alumni, obtaining his bachelor's of arts in athletic training and his master's of education with an emphasis in leadership. He is a board-certified athletic trainer, certified strength and conditioning specialist, and a USA level 1 weightlifting coach.

Prior to returning to Carthage, Dexter spent three seasons working as the associate director of football performance at the University of Texas at San Antonio. He began his UTSA career working with the women's basketball and soccer programs before moving to work primarily with football in August of 2021. Dexter worked directly with all aspects of football performance enhancement, including working on daily player development, program design and implementation, training session logistics, GPS and FBT data analysis, and intern curriculum development. In his first season with the football program, the Roadrunners enjoyed the best season in program history. UTSA went 12-2, won the Conference USA Championship, earned the first top-25 ranking in program history, and advanced to the Frisco Bowl. The following season Dexter helped the Roadrunners program repeat as conference champions and again earn a top-25 ranking in FBS standings. In 2021 23 UTSA players earned All-Conference USA accolades, and had two players drafted in the 2022 NFL Draft. Dexter and his wife Shannon live in Kenosha and are expecting their first child in October 2023.

Claire Stanners has joined Carthage in the role of Staff Athletic Trainer. Claire received her master's degree in athletic training from Marquette University in the spring of 2023. She completed an exercise physiology undergraduate program at Marquette and is a board-certified athletic trainer. Claire completed a clinical rotation at Milwaukee School of Engineering while working with the men's volleyball, lacrosse, wrestling, and track and field programs. Claire will provide athletic training services for Carthage cross country, track & field, women's bowling, and men's lacrosse programs.

"Both Dexter and Claire bring a unique blend of skills, experience, and passion to Carthage Athletics," said Jacob Dinauer. "Claire was a standout in the competitive field of collegiate athletic training and joins us from a highly respected program with experience that perfectly fits our needs." Additionally, "the opportunity to bring Dexter back home to Carthage was the easiest decision of my career. He has had an immediate impact, and he has passion and ownership that are extremely rare. He is high energy and makes strong relationships immediately, and gets results. His addition will seamlessly coordinate our athletic training, rehab, and sports performance departments." We are happy to welcome both Claire and Dexter to the Carthage Athletics team.
