KENOSHA, Wis. — On Senior Day, the No. 9 Carthage College men's volleyball team picked up a straight-set sweep over Augustana (Ill.) concluding the regular season on Saturday.

Carthage started the match going up 7-3 with a kill from Drew Jansen.
After the Vikings tied it at 11, the Firebirds used a 71 run, moving the score to 18-12 off two aces from Mitch Geiger.
The home team won the first following service and attack errors 25-19.
In the second, the Firebirds went ahead 12-8 following three-straight attack errors.
Though the Vikings got within four, Carthage closed out the set with an 11-4 run capped off with a kill from Mik Brunovskis.
The Firebirds continued to fire on all cylinders in the third as kills from Ryan Cholewinski, Brunovskis, and Zach Bulthuis pushed the lead to seven.
Carthage won the match with kills from Ty Martin and Grant Veldman.

Zach Bulthuis posted double-digit kills in the match with 10, while Ryan Cholewinski had five total blocks.
Gene McNulty added 27 assists, pushing his average per set to 9.46, which is third in the conference.
