KENOSHA, Wis.  — The Carthage College women's water polo wrapped up their home tournament falling in the morning game to Austin 16-2 before suffering a 10-3 setback against Augustana (Ill.). 


Game One

• Records: Austin 7-9 (6-1 CWPA), Carthage 4-13 (2-6 CWPA)

Game Two 

• Final score: Augustana (Ill.) 10 - Carthage 3
• Location: Kenosha, Wisconsin
• Records: Augustana (Ill.) 13-5 (7-1 CWPA), Carthage 4-14 (2-7 CWPA)

 

• Victoria Hodges got the Firebirds rolling with a goal at the 5:13 mark of the first. 
• Morrigan Bushroe-Stumpf scored for Carthage in the third as Austin went on to win 16-2 in the day's first game. 

 

• After the Vikings went up by two early, Alyssa Sayatovic found the back of the net with 4:13 left in the first. 
• Three more goals for Augustana (Ill.) closed out the first. 
• Bushroe-Stumpf collected her first goal of the game with 6:01 on the clock in the second. 
• The visitors tacked on two more before the intermission break and a lone goal in the third. 
• Brenna Carstens scored in the third as Augustana (Ill.) went on to win 10-3. 

 

• Ella Selman made six saves in the final game of the day for the Firebirds. Selman has a team-best 84 saves this season. 
• Brenna Carstens, Morrigan Bushroe-Stumpf, Alyssa Sayatovic, and Victoria Hodges all registered goals during Sunday's action.
