Coachs Remarks

"Great way to finish the regular season! Tonight was one of our better efforts of the year. We got good looks throughout the night and shared the basketball well. Only turning the ball over eight times against a team as good on the defensive end as they are is impressive.

The coaches challenged the guys these past few days to compete on the defensive end, and they responded tonight by holding Illinois Wesleyan to under 33 percent from the floor.

Now the fun of the postseason starts! Happy to be able to play one last time in Tarble Arena this year. Looking forward to a great crowd and atmosphere on Tuesday night!"

Up Next
  • Carthage will be the No. 3 seed in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Tournament.
  • The Firebirds will play the No. 6 seed Illinois Wesleyan in a rematch on Tuesday, February 21 at 7 p.m.
