DECATUR, Ill. - In the final game of the regular season, the Carthage College football team defeated Millikin 24-15 on Saturday afternoon at Frank M. Lindsay Field. 

• Final score: Carthage 24 - Millikin 15
• Location: Decatur, Illinois - Frank M. Lindsay Field
• Records: Carthage 3-7 (3-6 CCIW), Millikin 0-10 (0-9 CCIW)

• Carthage got on the board first with a 34-yard field goal from Eli Schubert.
•  Millikin responded with a late second-quarter touchdown, making it 7-3. 
• In the fourth, a seven-yard run from Bryce Frank, a 42-yard touchdown pass from Bryce Lowe to Jordan Wiles, and a 20-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown by Chris DiVito made it 24-7. 
• Though a safety and punt return shrunk the deficit to nine, Carthage won the game 24-15. 

 

• Jordan Wiles had 100 yards of receiving off five receptions for the offense. 
• Chris DiVito had nine total tackles and one forced fumble. 
• Six Firebirds registered a sack in the contest: Michael Sneed, Oliver Cox, Garrett Warner, Tommie King, Jeremy Rowlett, and Kyle Frymire.
• Warner and Koen Abreu each had an interception in the game, while Idarius Walton, Isaac Valdez, and King all forced a fumble.    

"It's always fun to win. We had some great individual performances, especially on defense. I am proud of how our guys came out after half and fought. I'm happy for our seniors, the way we finished the season, and that we could send them out with a win."
