Coachs Remarks

"I'm happy to start off the season with a win. After the first 10 minutes, where we had too many turnovers, we really played some solid basketball. We shared the ball nicely. Shot 56% from the floor against a physical, really well-coached basketball team. I can't remember the last time we outrebounded a team by 15, which was nice to see.

Julian Campbell was terrific tonight! He's worked so hard this offseason, came into the year in great shape, and is much more confident around the basket. Tanner Lamb gave us a huge spark in the first half when we needed it! AJ Johnson was rock solid again on both ends, and Antuan Nesbitt did a great job sharing the ball with seven assists. Fillip Bulatovic did what he's done throughout his career and finished with a double-double. It was a really nice start to his career for Ryan Johnson. He's a dynamic player who can play inside and outside and is getting better daily.

One more game tomorrow against a quick, talented Thiel team. They will space you out and look to attack with some very nice players. We need the effort we had for the last 30 minutes to get a win tomorrow!"

Team Results
  • The Firebirds conclude their trip to Pennsylvania as they play Thiel on Saturday, November 11, at 5 p.m. EST.
