Carthage Football Takes On WashU on Homecoming

KENOSHA, Wis. — The Carthage College football fell to WashU 45-16 on Saturday afternoon at Art Keller Field.

How it Happened
 
  • Carthage got on the board first as Eric Antkiewicz nailed a 25-yard field goal in the first quarter. 
  • The Bears responded scoring 24 points taking a 24-3 margin into the intermission break. 
  • After a seven-yard touchdown run for WashU, the Firebirds retaliated with a 21-yard touchdown pass from Bryce Lowe to Alex Jarvis
  • Kyle Jessie threw his first touchdown pass of the year connecting on a 51-yard score to Jordan Wiles.  


High Flyers
 
  • Through the air, Bryce Lowe went 27-37 with 207 yards and one touchdown. 
  • Jordan Wiles led the Firebirds in receiving with 122 yards off eight catches and one touchdown. 
  • Jake Tomczak came away with nine total tackles for the Firebirds defense and one forced fumble. 
  • Chris DiVito added 14 total tackles while Tanner Ludwig and Tre Mitchell III had six.
  • Garrett Warner added 10 total tackles. 
  • Warner also had one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. 
  • Sylvere Campbell recorded three punts for 137 yards and with the longest of the day going 63 yards.
