LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Carthage College women's volleyball team received the United States Marine Corps (USMC) and the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award for the 2021-22 season announced by the AVCA on Monday, July 18.

The USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that displayed excellence in the classroom during the school year by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale. 

The award marks the third consecutive award for the Firebird women's volleyball team and seventh overall.
