Women’s Water Polo Battles Wittenberg at Home

KENOSHA, Wis. — Kicking off their weekend homestand, the Carthage College women's water polo squad fell to Wittenberg 15-8 on Friday night. 

Goal scorers for the Firebirds came from Sydney Logan and Gladys Contreras who each had two in the match. Meghan Fisher, Kayli Sayatovic, Sophie Flott, and Victoria Hodges each tallied one goal in the game as Hodges was the leader in assists with three. Flott followed just behind her with two assists. In goal, Gabrielle Pavesich made 10 saves over almost 20 minutes played. Evelyn Kajohn recorded four saves and Logan registered one save. 

The Firebirds are back in the pool tomorrow, April 9 playing No. 6 Austin starting at 11 a.m.
