Mages Swims in Butterfly Event at NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Carthage College men's swim student-athlete Mitchell Mages wrapped up his first day at the NCAA Championships on Thursday.

Mages, from Skokie, Ill., registered a time of 49.24 in the 100-yard butterfly. The time broke Nick Seroni's 2020 100-yard butterfly record (49.66). Mages moved up from 45th to 35th place.

The senior will swim in the 100-yard breaststroke tomorrow, March 18.
