PLYMOUTH, Wis. — After picking up wins against Triton College (24-23) and Ridgewater College (42-6) earlier this season, Carthage College men's wrestling team added another win defeating Lakeland 28-21 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) competition Friday night at Woltzen Gymnasium.
Loren Semler won by fall (6:52) at 125 pounds, while
Sebastian Rosales won by decision 8-4 at 133 pounds.
Cole Nelson added another win by fall at 141 pounds, while in the 174 class,
Kobe Gilbert won by major decision (8-0). At 285 pounds,
Mason Kochersperger won by decision (2-1), giving Carthage the 28-21 victory.
The Firebirds return to the mat on Thursday, February 10, facing Wheaton (Ill.) on the road at 2 p.m.
