ROCK ISLAND, Ill. — Continuing their spring schedule, the Carthage men's soccer team faced Augustana in an exhibition on Sunday at Thorson-Lucken Field.

"Today was the first time this season we ran the minutes out with varsity players from the get go, and it showed," said head coach Steve Domin. "Despite the fierce wind, being on the road, and against a team who has played a full varsity match already, we were able to identify many combinations and own large chunks of the field."
 
"The boys know we left a bunch of finishes out there today, which as a staff we are proud they recognize, but we have to give some credit to Augustana and Coach Mick, they have a working defense," said Domin. "We were also proud when we mixed up the line-ups, we still were forward, but surely arrowing towards playing a complete match."
 
"Nobody in this league is going to go away so we were happy everyone battled to the last whistle," said Domin. "We need a good week of training and fitness to get where we need to be. This group, although incredibly young, can compete."
