Men's Tennis Sweeps Milwaukee School of Engineering

RACINE, Wis. — Carthage men's tennis picked up their second win of the season today with a 9-0 win over Milwaukee School of Engineering. The match was held at Life Sport Athletic Club in Racine, Wisconsin.

Kevin Dunn and Hayden Friese began doubles play with a 8-2 win at court three, followed by another win on court two 8-2 by Patrick Anderson and Andre Antreassian. Carthage swept doubles play as Matt Krzewinski and Cooper Ferruzzi closed out with a 8-4 win of their own on court one.

The Firebirds efforts did not slow down in singles play, as Kevin Dunn grabbed a 6-1, 6-0 win on court six and Tripp Schulte followed suit with another 6-1, 6-0 win on court two. Andre Antreassian picked up a 6-0, 6-0 victory on court three, and Nick Welker won court one 6-0, 6-0 as well. The match would wrap up with courts five and four, where Hayden Freise would win 6-1, 6-0, and Cooper Ferruzzi won 6-1, 6-2.

Carthage has their first CCIW match of the year scheduled for next Sunday against Augustana, where they look to pick up their first win in conference play.
