Mickey Reilly Named Conference Offensive Player of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. — The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) announced their selections for the men's soccer players of the week on Wednesday, selecting Carthage College's Mickey Reilly as their student-athlete of the week on offense.

Last week, the sophomore forward played in two matches for the Firebirds, helping them bounce back from a tough road loss at No. 20 Chicago with a 5-1 victory over Augustana on Saturday. Reilly scored the first goal of the match just 45 seconds into action, before adding an assist on a goal from Mason McCaw 15 minutes later to put Carthage up 3-0. He made it a 4-0 game early in the second half, scoring his fifth goal of the season.

Reilly leads the Firebirds in total points with 16 on five goals and six assists, and ranks second in the CCIW in assists, and fourth in total points.

This is the first conference player of the week honor for Carthage so far this season.
