Carthage used an 18-5 run to close out the match in favor of the Lady Reds.

Carthage competes against Finlandia (10 a.m.) and Rose-Hulman (4 p.m.) to conclude the Carthage College Invitational Saturday, September 21.

Head Coach Leanne Ulmer

"We got off to a rough start tonight and Concordia kept the pressure on us. We struggled with first contacts and couldn't really get into a flow on offense. We got some momentum in Set two with better ball coaches control and some good defense. We got in a hole in set four and did a good job climbing our way out. It was some exciting volleyball and the crowd was great! Haley Horner once again provided some big kills and timely blocks. Megan Behrendt was very aggressive tonight and had some big kills. Autumn McGee provided a spark with some great digs. We are excited to get back on our floor tomorrow."

Quick Facts

  • The Lady Reds offense hit over .300 in sets two and four.
  • Haley Horner collected a total of 15 kills while Megan Behrend tallied 13 and Nicole Acton added 12.
  • Ellie LeCount registered a season-high 43 assists.
