KENOSHA, Wis. — In rainy field conditions, the Carthage College women's soccer team beat Elmhurst in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) competition 3-1 Saturday at Art Keller Field.
The Bluejays (6-4-1, 0-2-0 CCIW) got on the board first off a penalty kick. Kenzie Zocher scored off a rebound in the box for the Lady Reds to tie the game at one. Carthage (4-4-2, 1-0-1 CCIW) took the lead with a goal from
Libby Snyder to make it 2-1. The Lady Reds struck three minutes into the second half with a goal from
Jacey Kent to give Carthage the 3-1 victory.
The Lady Reds hit the road to face No. 12 Chicago on Tuesday, October 8 starting at 4 p.m.
