NAPERVILLE, Ill. — Carthage College senior Laura de Rosales has been named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Volleyball Defensive Player of the week announced by the league office Tuesday, October 15. 

The native from Rockford, Ill. accumulated 24.5 digs per game and 4.5 assists per game through two matches last week as the No. 4 Lady Reds beat Elmhurst (3-0) and Carroll (Wis.) (3-1) to move to 20-1 overall and 6-0 in CCIW play. 

Carthage hits the road facing No. 3 UChicago on Tuesday, October 15 starting at 7 p.m.
