THE GAMES
- The Carthage College women's basketball team (15-6, 8-4 CCIW) will face Elmhurst College (12-10, 8-5 CCIW) in their lone game this week on Saturday, February 10 at R.A. Faganel Hall in Elmhurst, Ill. at 2:00 p.m.
- The Bluejays, who entered the week tied for third place with Carthage, fell to Augustana College (Ill.) 93-86 on Wednesday.
- The Lady Reds will enter Saturday's bout having won seven of their last eight games, while Elmhurst will look to dodge a two-game losing skid that began with a 70-58 loss at Wheaton College (Ill.) on February 3. The Bluejays' loss to Augustana on Wednesday puts them a half game behind Carthage in the CCIW standings.
- Bluejays senior Mikaela Eppard leads all CCIW players in points per game (18.0), rebounds per game (10.8), field goal percentage (.568), field goals made (158), double-doubles (12), and an NCAA Division III-12th ranked 8.0 defensive rebounds per game. As a team, Elmhurst leads the CCIW in rebound margin (5.5).
THE COACHES
- Tethnie Carrillo (155-124) is in her 11th season as Elmhurst College head women's basketball coach in 2017-18.
- The 2017-18 season marks Tim Bernero's (256-141) 15th as Lady Reds head basketball coach.
THE SERIES
- The Lady Reds own a 55-18 all-time record against Elmhurst, which includes a 71-67 OT victory over the Bluejays at Tarble Arena on January 13.
LAST TIME OUT
- Carthage's six-game win streak snapped with a 54-35 loss at Wheaton College on January 31 before they rebounded with a 78-60 victory over Millikin University on February 3.
- Morgan Vukovich led all scorers with 17 points in Carthage's win over the Big Blue. Morgan Harris notched her 18th career double-double in the contest with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

NCAA REGIONAL RANKING
The Lady Reds came in at #9 on the February 7 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Central Regional Ranking. #2 Illinois Wesleyan and #8 Wheaton College (Ill.) round out the CCIW teams on the February 7 Central Regional Ranking.
CLOSING AT HOME
The Lady Reds play their final three regular-season games at home. The last time Carthage closed the regular season with a three-game home stand was the 1999-00 season.
NOTABLE NCAA/CCIW RANKINGS (2/8)
The Lady Reds lead the CCIW in defensive rebounds per game (30.0), fewest turnovers (286) and three-point field goals per game (8.0). Bailey Gilbert leads the CCIW and ranks 20th in the country with a .429 three-point field goal percentage. Morgan Harris (708:00) sits atop the CCIW in minutes played while Madie Kaelber paces the league with a .885 free throw percentage.
KEEPING IT CLOSE
Four of the Lady Reds' six losses this season came within 10 points. The only exceptions occurred in both of their losses to Wheaton College (Ill.).
MILESTONE WATCH
Bailey Gilbert, who owns 167 career three pointers, is in fourth place on the Carthage all-time three-point field goal list. Haley Stercic (2011-14) holds the Lady Reds career record for most three-point field goals with 202. Gilbert's .398 (167-420) career three-point field goal percentage currently ranks fourth on the Lady Reds all-time list. Morgan Harris, who has 939 career points, currently ranks third on the Carthage all-time free-throw percentage list with a .789 (265-336) figure.
