BELOIT, Wis. – The Carthage College Red Men won their first true road game of the season on Tuesday night at Beloit College, as the Red Men pulled away in the second half for an 84-67 win over the Buccaneers.
The win moves the Red Men to 5-5 on the season, while the Bucs fall to 5-5.

The Red Men came out with solid offense and string defense in the first half on Wednesday, shooting .419 from the field and .385 from three, while holding the Bucs to .333 and .148 from the field and three respectively, but after building an 11-point lead with 2:45 left in the first half the Beloit closed the gap to seven at the break, 36-29.
Carthage came out and pushed the lead back to double digits with baskets from Jordon Kedrowksi and
Preston Laketa to make it 41-31. However, a 10-0 run by the Bucs quickly erased the lead and drew it back even before taking a 44-43 lead with 15:30 remaining. Tied for the eighth-time in the game at 49-49 with 13:11 remaining, the Red Men took control with a 12-2 run to put the Red Men back up ten, 51-41, before eventually opening it up late to a 20-point lead and walking out with the 17-point edge.
After posting 26 points in the loss over the weekend,
Jordon Kedrowski set a new career-high in points with 30 on 10-20 shooting, 4-9 from three and 6-6 from the line in 37 minutes of play.
Preston Laketa also had a nice night in the win, matching his season-best 26 points. Laketa made nine-of-sixteen field goals and was 4-7 from deep, while also leading the team with nine rebounds.
Kienan Baltimore rounded out the Red Men's top scorers in the win with 18 points on 7-12 shooting and 4-4 from the line.
As a team the Red Men finished 29-60 from the field and 8-21 from three, while shooting a season best .900 from the free throw line, going 18-20. The Red Men limited Beloit to just .358 from the field on 24-67 field goals and held them to just 5-19 from three for .263.
The Red Men will now head down to South Beach to close out their 2018 portion of the schedule, when Carthage visits Miami, Florida for the 2018 HoopMIA D3 Holiday Shootout. The Red Men will open with Eastern Connecticut State University on Monday, December 17th and will finish with Penn State Harrisburg on Wednesday, December 19th.
