FULL RESULTS
WARRENVILLE, ILL.—The Carthage College men's cross country team invaded the St. James Farm Forest Preserve in Warrenville, Illinois on Saturday for the 2018 CCIW Cross Country Championship.
Logan Engberg's 25:35 landed him 14th place and a spot on the 2018 All-CCIW Men's Cross Country Second Team. Engberg's mark also engineered Carthage's fourth-place finish out of nine teams with 121 points. This mark's Engberg's second-consecutive All-CCIW Second Team honor.
North Central College (Ill.) claimed their 45
th-consecutive CCIW Men's Cross Country Team Championship with 15 points. Dhruvil Patel (North Central) notched the individual crown with a time of 23:55.
Six Red Men finished the day with career best times, led by
Steven Wright's 29
th-place mark of 26:26.
Thomas Olenek kept the career-best trend alive when he crossed the finish line at 26:28, good enough for 30
th place.
Suneed Ahmed was the fourth Red Men finisher with a time of 26:34 (31st place), followed by
Camren Howard's 32nd-place mark of 26:36.
Zachary Minda (27:26) and
Trevor Tomich (27:28) rounded out the Red Men top-seven finishers with career-best times.
Eric Schmitt (27:36),
Peyton Heiser (27:47) and
Drew Heneghan (28:59) also represented the Red Men at the CCIW Championship.

The Red Men will return to action on Saturday, November 10 when they'll compete at the NCAA Division III Midwest Cross Country Regional at the Whitetail Golf Course in Colfax, Wisconsin. Meet time is set for 12:00 p.m.
