CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Carthage College women's volleyball topped Augustana College for the second time in less than two weeks as the CCIW foes met in a non-conference match to open the Coe College Invitational with the Lady Reds the Vikings, 3-0.
 
The win moves the Lady Reds to 11-3 on the season, while the Vikings fall to 8-9 following the 25-23, 25-18, and 25-21 three-setter.
 
Setter Ellie LeCount spread the ball around the court all match, leading the evening with a game-high 40 assists.
 
Megan Fallert recorded her fourth ten-plus kill match of the season with 11 kills and Megan Behrendt led all players with 14 kills.
 
Defensively, the Lady Reds seemed to be in the receiving end of each Vikings attack, as the Lady Reds gathered 79 digs behind Mallory Parsons with 18, Shannon Kebisek with 17, Luci Krenzke with 16 and Behrendt with ten.
 
The Lady Reds will return to action on with a pair matches on Saturday, beginning with host Coe College at 11:00 a.m. followed by the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point at 1:00 p.m.
