DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Carthage College men's volleyball team extended their winning streak to 18 matches on Friday as the Red Men went into Dubuque and came away with a sweep of Loras College, 3-0.

The win moves the number-four Red Men to 16-0 in the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League and 19-1 overall, while Loras falls to 8-14 and 5-12 in the MCVL.

A trio of outside hitters led the Red Men in the win with
Marc Hansen turning in 14 kills,
Braeden Waumans tallying 13, and the reigning AVCA National Player of the Week,
Griffin Shields, finishing with ten.

Matt Reinsel tied for a match-high, along with
Zach Lillig with three blocks apiece and Reinsel led all players with 35 assists. Reinsel's distribution led the Red Men to hitting .352 in the win, which included a dominant third set that Carthage hit .459 with 19 kills.

Cody Bolan once again found himself in double-figures in digs on Friday, as the senior recorded a match-high 12 digs.

Carthage returns to action on Saturday in Naperville as the Red Men face the Cardinals of North Central College at 2:00 p.m.
