FULL GAME NOTES
THE GAMES
-The Carthage College women's basketball team (4-2, 0-1 CCIW) will look to keep North Central College's (0-5, 0-1 CCIW) (Ill.) win-less 2017-18 season intact on Wednesday, December 6 at the Gregory Gymnasium in Naperville, Ill. at 7:00 p.m. The Lady Reds will conclude the week with a home game against Augustana College (Ill.) on Saturday, December 9 at 5:00 p.m.
-Three out of five North Central losses this season came within ten points, with the two exceptions occurring in their last two games. Those contests include a 75-61 loss against Benedictine, and a 78-59 decision against North Park.Â
-The Cardinals pace all CCIW schools with 157 three-point field goal attempts and 9.0 three-point field goals per game. This comes after a 2016-17 season that saw North Central lead NCAA Division III in scoring offense (89.6), three-point field goal attempts (1,181), three-point field goals made (341) and three-point field goals per game (13.6).Â
-Senior Mayson Whipple is the lone Cardinal averaging in double-figures with 10.6 points per game. Diamond Calicott leads the CCIW with 4.0 offensive rebounds per game, which includes a game-high 15 rebounds in the Cardinals' 60-56 loss against Colorado College on November 21.Â
-The Augustana College Vikings'Â (4-1, 0-0 CCIW)Â 4-0 start to the 2017-18 season included victories over Monmouth College (95-70), Coe College (80-71), Benedictine University (75-54) and Webster University (70-64).Â
-The Vikings will enter their contest at Elmhurst College on December 6 off an 82-65 loss at UW-Whitewater on November 30.Â
-Augustana leads the CCIW in scoring offense (77.0), defensive rebounds per game (29) and fewest turnovers (70).Â
-Izzy Anderson, who paces the Vikings in scoring with 16.4 points per game, owns a CCIW-leading 25 made free throws. Victoria Allen (13.6) and Clare Kramer (10.0) round out the Augustana players averaging double-figures.Â
THE COACHES
-The 2017-18 marks Michelle Roof's eighth as North Central head women's basketball coach.Â
-Mark Beinborn is in his sixth season as Augustana (Ill.) head women's basketball coach.Â
THE SERIES
The Lady Reds own a 49-26 all-time record against North Central, and a 38-28 mark against Augustana.Â
LAST TIME OUT
-The Lady Reds' 67-49 decision over UW-Stevens Point on November 29 marked their 17th-consecutive victory in a home-opener.
-Sammie Woodward tallied a career-high 18 points on a 4-of-6 figure from three-point land in Carthage's victory over UW-Stevens Point. It also marked Woodward's first contest where she tallied double-figure scoring.
-The Lady Reds opened their 2017-18 CCIW schedule with a 77-68 loss at Illinois Wesleyan University on December 2.Â
-Morgan Harris notched her 14th career double-double against the Titans with 18 points and 11 rebounds.Â
WOODWARD CLIMBING THE LADDER
Sammie Woodward tallied a career-high nine points in a 96-90 2OT loss at Chicago, followed by a career-high 18 in a 67-49 win over UW-Stevens Point. She added 10 points in the Lady Reds' 77-68 loss at Illinois Wesleyan for her second-career game in double-figure scoring.Â

Carthage's victories over Coe College and UW-Stevens Point gives them a 5-1 all-time record in 67-49 games.Â

Carthage will face Drew University and Simpson College in Daytona Beach, Fla. on December 20-21. The Lady Reds carry a 5-2 all-time record in the Sunshine State. All seven contests in Florida took place in December.Â

The Lady Reds will look to snap a three-game losing skid at North Central's Gregory Fieldhouse on Wednesday. Nobody on the 2017-18 Carthage roster has won a game at the Gregory Fieldhouse.Â

NOTABLE NCAA/CCIW RANKINGS (12/5)
As of December 5, Bailey Gilbert leads the CCIW and ranks ninth in NCAA Division III with a .559 three-point field goal percentage. Morgan Harris paces all CCIW players in rebounds (59), rebounds per game (9.8), defensive rebounds per game (9.0), double-doubles (3), free throw attempts (31), minutes (219:00) and minutes per game (36.50).Â
