Final Results

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Carthage College Lady Reds cruised to a pair of victories on Saturday at the Illinois Wesleyan University triangular, defeating the Titans, 193-93, and the Illinois Institute of Technology, 210-80.
 
The two wins on Saturday improve the Carthage swimming and diving team to 5-0 in the 2017-18 season.
 
DeAnn Jones and Kate Hugo each tallied three first place finishes on Saturday to lead the Lady Reds.  Jones and Hugo teamed up in the first event of the day as they were joined by Hannah Miles and Gianna McGuire to win the 200 medley relay [1:53.78].
 
Jones added an individual win in the 50 free [25.10] and capped the Lady Reds' day off with a first place finish along with Becca Rutowski, Sara Findely and McGuire in the 200 free relay [1:40.12], while Hugo took first in both backstroke events, winning the 100 back [1:01.75] and 200 back [2:15.51]
 
Three other Lady Reds took first on Saturday as Becca Rutkowski and Hannah Miles added the 200 free [2:01.04] and 100 breast [1:08.46] respectively to their relay wins, and Shea Taylor rounded things out with a win in the 200 individual medley [2:22.15].
 
The Lady Reds will return to action next weekend for the three-day Phoenix Fall Classic hosted by the University of Chicago.  The competition will open on Friday and each day events will begin at 1:00 p.m.
