ADRIAN, Mich. – The Carthage College men's volleyball team responded well to a quick turnaround coming off a sweep of Olivet College Friday night by sweeping Adrian College, 3-0 [25-15, 25-14, 25-18], to open the morning of a busy Saturday for Carthage Athletics.

Ranked number-eight in the first AVCA poll, the Red Men move to 2-0 in the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League and 3-1 overall on the year, while Adrian the loss in the opener for Adrian drops them to 0-1 on the season.

Matt Reinsel dished out 29 assists on the Red Men's 32 kills to pace the Carthage offense with a match-high 11 of those kills coming from middle,
Zach Lillig and eight from
Evan Walsh.

Carthage also dominated from the service line with eight aces in the three-setter, including three from Reinsel and two from
Kai Cromwell. Cromwell also added eight digs to finish second on the team behind starting libero,
Cody Bolan, with ten.

At the net, Carthage earned a 5-2 advantage in blocks with
Max Bongratz recording three and Walsh with two.
