KENOSHA, Wis. – The Carthage College Lady Reds remained undefeated in head-to-head competition on the young 2016-17 season, as Carthage defeated Carroll University, 160-101, Saturday, November 19th at the Koenitzer Aquatic Center.

The Lady Reds improve to 4-0 on the season, while the Pioneers fall to 1-2-1 in their first season since returning to the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin.

Carthage had 13 first place finishes on the day out of the meet's 14 events in their dominant performance.
Taking first for the Lady Reds individually were
Hannah Skendziel in the 1000-yard freestyle [11:20.05],
Mattea Arndt in the 200 free [1:59.89], 200 backstroke [2:14.96] and 200 individual medley [2:17.47],
Rebecca Rutkowski in the 100 back [1:04.09],
Hannah Miles in the 100 [1:09.73] and 200 breaststroke [2:33.53],
Esmeralda Perez in the 100 [1:02.00] and 200 butterfly [2:22.90] and finally
DeAnn Jones in the 50 [24.78] and 100 free [54.62],

The Lady Reds also swept the relay events as the 400 medley relay team of
Gianna McGuire, Miles, Arndt and Jones won [4:10.25] and
Maddy Hoover, Rutkowski, McGuire and Jones took the 200 free relay [1:41.32].

The Lady Reds will return to Koenitzer, along with the Red Men, following the Thanksgiving holiday to host the A3 Carthage Classic Friday, December 2nd and Saturday, December 3rd.
