Box Score 2 PLATTEVILLE, Ill. – The Carthage College Lady Reds opened their weekend with a pair of victories Friday, defeating Northland College and Central College at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.

The pair of wins sends the Lady Reds to 11-8 on the season.

In the opening match the Lady Reds paired a good attack with Northland's inability to go on the offensive, as the Lady Reds swept the Lumberjills, 3-0.

Stefanie Romanowski led the Lady Reds with eight kills apiece as Carthage hit .289 in the three-setter to Northland's -.112. Â Â Romanowski, who hit .727 in the match, also added four blocks in the win.

Rounding out the statistical leaders for the Lady Reds against Northland were
Mallory Parsons with a match-high three aces,
Ellie LeCount with a match-high 18 assists and
Luci Krenzke with 10 digs.

In the second match of the evening, Carthage rebounded from a first set loss to Central College with three straight wins to take the match, 3-1.

Carthage returns to action in Platteville Saturday with two more matches, as the Lady Reds will face Nebraska Wesleyan University at noon and UW-Platteville at 2:00 p.m. to cap the weekend.
