KENOSHA, Wis. – Carthage swim and dive competed against College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin opponent Augustana College on Saturday, January 9. The Lady Reds finished the meet with a 147-110 victory over Augustana.

Carthage opened competition with the 200 Medley Relay. The Carthage A Relay of
Liz Olson,
Hannah Miles,
Esmeralda Perez and
Kailin Potter finished first with a time of 1:54.00.

Following the relay,
Hannah Pearson finished first in the 1000 Free with a time of 11:24.54
Â
Hannah Skendziel finished first in the 200 Free with a time of 2:05.06.

The Lady Reds made the top two finishes in the 100 Back with Olson placing first (1:03.82) and
Emily Gabriel second (1:04.65).

Miles placed first in the 100 Breast with a time of 1:11.77.
Â
In the 200 Fly, Perez, finished first with a time of 2:23.07, and
Mack Ryan finished in second with a time of 2:25.95.

Potter, in the 50 Free, finished in first with a time of 26.25 and
Emily Gabriel, came in second with a time of 26.67.

Potter, in the 100 Free, finished behind Augustana's Allison Patch to place second with a time of 56.90.

Carthage had top three finishes in the 200 Back, with Olson and a time of 2:20.73 leading the sweep.
Alex Brenwall finished second with a time of 2:21.92, and Laurel Pieterzak in third with a time of 2:26.28.

Carthage had another top three finish in the 200 Breast: Miles in first (2:38.44),
Anna Thomsen (2:40.89) in second and
Angela Shaw (2:42.39) in third.

In the diving portion,
Niki Jackson finished first with a score of 280.52, and
Whitney Zenk finished second with a new personal best score of 271.66 points.

Carthage returns to the Koenitzer Aquatic Center January 23 to compete against CCIW rival Wheaton College at 11 AM.
