ST. CHARLES, Mo. – The Carthage College men's volleyball team (1-1, 0-0 MCVL) took on the Lions of Lindenwood University (1-3) on Saturday, January 16
th at the Robert F. Hyland Arena.

A hard fought game by both teams proved to be an exciting, yet heartbreaking game for the Red Men. Carthage kept the score close throughout all three sets, but were unable to earn a win as the Lions beat the Red Men 3-0 (21-25, 23-25, 23-25).

As a team, the Red Men completed 25 kills, three aces, 10 blocks, 23 assists, 25 digs and hit .239. In comparison, the Lions recorded 42 kills, six aces, four blocks, 38 assists, 28 digs and hit .302.

Griffin Shields and
Zach Lillig led the team in kills with eight and seven kills, respectively.
J.P. Tulacka completed five blocks, along with
Scotty Adamczyk with four and Shields with 3.
Matt Reinsel recorded 21 assists in the three set match and
Marc Hansen made 12 digs.

The Red Men will return home on Saturday, January 23
rd as they take on Benedictine Universtity at Mesa at 11 a.m. and Cardinal Stritch University at 5 p.m. at Tarble Arena.
