Carthage "Gill Athletics Final Qualifier Results
Wisconsin-Stevens Point "Pointer Final Qualifier" Results

The Carthage College women's track and field team (39-20-1 indoor record) played host to the Carthage "Gill Athletics Final Qualifier" on Friday, March 6 at the Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center fieldhouse in Kenosha, Wis.  No team scores were kept.
 
Carthage's Jennifer Shelman (Jr., Solon, Iowa) won the 55-meter hurdles (9.38).  The Lady Reds also collected second-place finishes from Leah Breite (Jr., Festus, Mo./St. Pius X) in the 55-meter dash (7.49), Maddy Schwartz (Fr., Franksville, Wis./Union Grove) in the 800-meter run (2:27.51), Shannon Cadagin (So., Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard South) in the one-mile run (5:43.38), Margaux Canup (Sr., Milford, Mich.) in the long jump (18-1) and Becca McMullin (Sr., Round Lake, Ill./Fox Lake-Grant Community) in the weight throw (56-6 ¾).

Carthage also sent a contingent to the Saturday, March 7 Wisconsin-Stevens Point "Pointer Final Qualifier" at Quandt Fieldhouse in Stevens Point, Wis.  Morgan Young (So., Mahomet, Ill./Mahomet-Seymour) finished third in the shot put (46-2).
