Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 | Box Score 4 The Carthage College women's volleyball team (11-1, 0-0 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin) went 4-0 at the Friday-Saturday, Sept. 12-13 Carthage Invitational Tournament at Tarble Arena in Kenosha, Wis.  No. 15 Elmhurst College and the University of Chicago also went 4-0 at the event.
 
The Lady Reds opened tournament play on Friday, Sept. 12 with a 3-1 win over Edgewood College (3-6) and a 3-0 decision over Wisconsin-Eau Claire (4-7) at Tarble Arena in Kenosha, Wis.  The Lady Reds' winning set scores over the Eagles were 25-19, 23-25, 25-18 and 25-22, and their winning scores over the Blugolds were 25-17, 25-17 and 25-15.  On Saturday, Sept. 13, Carthage swept both St. Norbert College (4-7) and Wisconsin-La Crosse (7-6) by identical 3-0 scores.  The Lady Reds' winning scores over the Green Knights were 25-14, 25-12 and 25-23, and their winning scores over the Eagles were 25-14, 25-11 and 25-19.
 
Rachel Fields (Sr., Chicago, Ill./Oak Park-Fenwick) collected a match-high 14 kills against Edgewood with a .233 attack percentage and three block assists.  Bria Hailey (Jr., Hanover Park, Ill./Schaumburg) had 10 kills and hit .227 with four block assists.  Setter Karen Chin (Jr., Mundelein, Ill.) averaged 10.75 assists per set.  In the win over UW-Eau Claire, Emily Heuermann (Jr. Washington, Ill.) had a match-high 15 kills with a .462 attack percentage, while Fields had 13 kills and hit .345.  Chin averaged 12.67 assists per set against the Blugolds. 

Fields totaled 11 kills with two block assists in the 3-0 sweep of St. Norbert, while Chin averaged 11.00 assists per set.  In the finale against Wisconsin-La Crosse, Fields had 12 kills and hit .357 with two block assists, while Heuermann had 11 kills with a .261 mark.  Chin averaged 11.33 assists per set. Fields and Chin were named to the all-tournament team.
 
The Lady Reds travel to Whitewater, Wis., on Wednesday, Sept. 17 to take on No. 21 Wisconsin-Whitewater in a 7 p.m. match at the Kris Russell Volleyball Arena.
