Lady Reds Travel to Lake Forest on Tuesday

Box Score The Carthage College women's soccer team (0-2-0, 0-0-0 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin) closed out play at the Wheaton College (Ill.) "Bob Baptista Invitational" on Saturday, Aug. 30 with a 2-1 loss to Hope College (1-1-0) at Joe Bean Stadium in Wheaton, Ill.  The Lady Reds opened the season on Friday, Aug. 29 with a 2-0 loss to Alma College (1-0-0).
 
In the loss to Hope, Carthage took a 1-0 lead at 29:39 first half on a goal by Alexis Fahlbeck (Sr., Rockford, Ill./Boylan Catholic), assisted by Darcy Stoecklin.  That lead held up until the final five minutes of the game when the Flying Dutch scored twice in just over two minutes.  Lindsey Bien scored at 85:32, assisted by Natalie Curry.  Hope took the lead, 2-1, at 87:47 on a goal by Elizabeth Perkins, assisted by Kristin Hazlett.
 
The Lady Reds travel to Lake Forest, Ill., on Tuesday, Sept. 2 to take on Lake Forest College in a 4:30 p.m. contest at Farwell Field.
