ResultsThe Carthage College women's swimming team (3-0) swept a Saturday, Nov. 8 double-dual meet at Illinois Wesleyan University's Fort Natatorium in Bloomington, Ill. The Lady Reds defeated the host-Titans, 190-107, and won over Illinois Tech by a 229-50 margin.
Carthage's
Kate Hugo (Fr., Neenah, Wis.) won three events, taking first place in the 100 backstroke (1:01.94), the 100 butterfly (1:03.67) and the 200 backstroke (2:15.08). Zoë Rodriguez (Fr., Kenosha, Wis./Bradford) won both the one-meter diving (233.0) and the three-meter diving (203.60).
Alisa Danzer (Sr., Racine, Wis./Case) took first place in the 200 butterfly (2:23.87), as did
Ashley Gladis (Sr., Elgin, Ill.) in the 200 individual medley (2:19.06).
The Lady Reds also picked up a win from their 200 freestyle relay team. Carthage travels to St. Peter, Minn., on Saturday, Nov. 22 for the Gustavus Adolphus Invitational at the Lund Center Natatorium, beginning at 10 a.m.
