Box Score The Carthage College men's soccer team (6-6-0, 0-1-0 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin) evened its season record on Wednesday, Oct.8 with a 6-1 win over Robert Morris-Lake County (2-4-0) at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis.
 
The Red Men took a 3-0 lead in the first half.  Austin Bitta (So., Libertyville, Ill.) scored at 10:51, assisted by Cedar Garcia.  Three minutes later at 14:01, Ivan Chavez (Jr., Cicero, Ill./Morton East) scored, unassisted.  Michael Dombrowski (Sr., Johnsburg, Ill.) scored his ninth season goal at 40:20.  The Eagles' Miguel Cortez made it a 3-1 game at 50:02 second period, before Chavez scored again at 55:21, assisted by Bitta.  Bitta scored his second goal at 60:42, assisted again by Garcia, and Danilo Tijanic (Fr., Glenview, Ill./Park Ridge-Maine East) closed out the scoring with a goal at 88:07, assisted by Cale Brown.  Carthage had a 28-3 advantage in shots and an 11-2 edge in corner kicks.   

"Tonight was a nice match to really use all the guys on the roster for heavy, heavy minutes," said Carthage coach Steve Domin. "We were fortunate to rest a handful of guys outright, tuck some balls away in the front third, and completely sit some other players.  I give a lot of credit to the Robert Morris, their goalkeeper and their backline for not letting this one get out of control"

 On Saturday, Oct. 11, Carthage entertains CCIW-opponent Illinois Wesleyan University (7-6-0, 1-0-) in a 7:30 p.m. game, also at Art Keller Field.
