Box Score The Carthage College women's soccer team (6-9-0, 1-3-0 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin) fell to CCIW-opponent Augustana College (Ill., 9-3-2, 2-1-0 CCIW), 6-0, on Saturday, Oct. 18 at Thorson-Lucken Field in Rock Island, Ill.  The Vikings were ranked fifth in the Oct. 14 National Soccer Coaches Association of America Central Region poll.
 
Augustana opened up a 3-0 first-half lead.  The Vikings scored at 12:14 on a goal by Jessa Rizzo and followed with two goals in the final four minutes of the period.  Kortney Hix scored at 41:26, assisted by Somer Druszkowski, and Druszkowski scored at 44:03, assisted by Hix.  The Vikings continued to pour it on in the second half.  Hix scored her second goal, also assisted by Druszkowski, at 55:52  A third goal by Hix, assisted by Kerri Skotnicki, came at 62:10, and Jessica Kras made it 6-0 with a goal at 63:11, assisted by Skotnicki.  Augustana had a whopping, 28-5 advantage in shots and a 6-2 margin in corner kicks.
 
The Lady Reds travel to Chicago on Wednesday, Oct. 22 to play CCIW-opponent North Park University (6-8-0, 1-2-0 CCIW) in a 5 p.m. game at the Holmgren Athletic Complex.
