"Wartburg was certainly a worthy opponent," admitted Carthage coach
Steve Domin, "and ranked in their region, but we played with fire today. Owning the game, as we did, is not the same as winning it. We let them off the hook with so many shots and serves right at their goalkeeper. It was another dominant statistical performance for us. Their score on the penalty kick certainly evened things out. We played so well in the Loras game on Thursday that was rained out, and we were a little banged up today, but I don't want to use that as an excuse. We'll keep chipping away."
Carthage plays host to Robert Morris-Lake County on Thursday, Sept. 26 in a 7 p.m. game at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis.
