"I would say we were bound to have one of these games," said Carthage coach
Steve Domin. "That is, where we really get forward, create a lot of chances but seem to run out of real estate. It's like a football team being in the red zone so often, your options get limited with so many people behind the ball. Our center backs did a great job of winning balls tonight.
Taylor Pignataro and
Atli Einarsson, for the most, part kept their attack at bay. We have to get a little cleaner for the next few opponents."
Carthage closes the tournament on Sunday, Sept. 15 with a 7 p.m. game against Lake Forest College (2-3-0) In a neutral-site tournament game, Concordia (Moorhead) defeated Robert Morris University-Lake County (0-2-0), 2-1 in double-overtime, on Friday, Sept. 13.
