"Right now, more than any time in my career," said coach Steve Domin, "we are trying to define who we are. "That's the main reason we take these early-season trips Today was another tremendous effort against a top-twenty-like team, in unbearable conditions, with essentially all new players starting. The best part of this result is we had to battle back. This was a character-win more than a talent-win. Michael Dombrowski and Stefano Dolomas were the highlights today. These teams are no joke out here, and this will help us get ready for the heart of our season."
Carthage returns home to play host to Benedictine University (Ill., 1-0) on Wednesday, Sept. 4 in a 7 p.m. contest at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis.
